the season of giving

This post sponsored by Oshkosh B'gosh.  All opinions are my own.  As always, thanks for reading! xoxo

Every Christmas season I try to encourage my littles to focus on giving rather than just receiving.  With both boys' birthdays in December, it's become a month of perpetual presents, non-stop parties, and wants.  We have so much.  I want them to realize that and to give generously.

We've made a tradition of visiting the local firehouse each year with a bag full of gifts to donate for Toys for Tots.  For the sake of Santa, we don't go into much detail, but they understand that not all boys and girls get as many nice presents as they do on Christmas morning.

With enough gentle reminders in the toy aisle that what they're choosing is for presents and not for themselves, they did a great job picking toys to gift.  :)

As a little extra this year, we brought a homemade card and cookies for the firemen, too.  Because we certainly are grateful for all that they do!

Here's a little video from the afternoon. :)

Big thanks to OshKosh B'gosh for a fun partnership over the past few months and congrats to all the gift card winners!

OshKosh B’gosh policies align with WOMMA Ethics Code, FTC guidelines and social media engagement recommendations. The winner of any giveaway in this program will be randomly chosen and gift card fulfillment will be handled by a third party.

  1. This is the season of giving, so how about you give and someone shall give to you. The Guardian system, as seen on Oprah, is something everyone should try. If you have 6 dollars, you can make someones xmas better. Help Another!

    $6... That’s all it takes!
To get started just copy this whole page and paste it to your documents to edit it. Simply follow the instructions below and in 2 to 4 weeks, you could have as much as $50,000 in your PayPal account or even more...

    1. Send a $3.00 US Dollar donation from your PayPal account to THE FIRST e-mail address on the list (No. 1), by using the PayPal ‘Send Money’ feature and be sure to include in the email “Payment for Internet Marketing”. THIS KEEPS THE PROGRAM LEGAL.

    2. Then, send another $5.00 US Dollar to the 5th person on the list (No. 5) with an e-mail that says “Payment for Internet Marketing 5th”.

    3. REMOVE the 1st e-mail address and place your address at the bottom (position No. 5). This moves the 2nd to 1st, the 4th to 3rd and the 5th to 4th.

    4. Place your e-mail address in the 5th place(Make sure it’s the same e-mail address that you used to open your PayPal Account. This is the way you will receive your payment)
