Dove hair care review and a giveaway!

I've mentioned before that I'm not very kind to my skin and hair during the summer months.  My love of the pool and its harsh chemicals, plus the sun, really does a number on them.

And my boys?

I think it's safe to say they spend more time with their heads under the water than above it. :)
All that chlorine and their hair ends up feeling a whole lot like broom bristles.  Yikes.

Dove offered to send a bottle of their conditioner for to me to try.  I've always been really happy with Dove products, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I'm glad I did!

Of course, I hogged it for myself first before sharing it with the boys. :)

It has a great consistency...nice and thick.
I'm always devastated when a handful of product slides off my hand in the shower!
I also like how it smells...a nice, clean scent that isn't too strong.
And for the boys, I work a little into their hair and then let them play in the tub...they're none the wiser that I'm helping them soften their frizzy, fried hair.

I will say that I kind of wish it came in a pump, though. (Maybe it does and I just haven't seen it???)  I don't get a lot of time alone to shower (or anything else for that matter!), so I enjoy the convenience of pump products in the shower.  And when it comes to wrangling small children in the tub, I think a pump is a must.
Otherwise, I really like it! I said, I think it's been great for my hair.
I really like it for the boys' hair as well.
But...I like using it for something else, too.  Shaving my legs!

Do you know that trick?  Using conditioner instead of shaving cream?  I swear your legs will feel sooo much softer!  Try it!!

Do you have any other secret beauty tips for products that can double as something else?  I'd love to hear!
