*Sigh*

Today Little Guy #2 is 6 months old, and Friday Little Guy #1 is going to be 2 1/2. Definite cause for celebration, however, the last 3 years of my life have passed in the blink of an eye. I know that one day soon...

I won't have little shoes by the door.

Little boxes of raisins won't be such great treats.

I won't have monster truck rallies in our living room.

My refrigerator won't be covered from end to end.

My windowsills won't look like this.

A bucket of chalk won't be that exciting.

Sippy cups won't be necessary.

And I'm sure glad that day isn't today. My poor heart couldn't take it.

(Yes, this post could've easily also been titled random clutter found around my house, but I decided to take the sentimental route.)

  1. I know how you're feeling. With Moose turning 2 in 2 weeks & the baby coming in 3 - I'm feeling that he's growing up SO fast (and the baby will just make it go even faster). Who knows how my world will change in 3 weeks? I may have to start buying Barbies!

  2. SAVE the shoes! Those tiny things are just so cute. In ten years you'll be glad you have them to look back on :-)

  3. I have that same line of cars on the shelf of our entertainment center. I'm glad too that day is not today.

  4. Just saw this post (I just found your blog) and I love it. It touches my heart.

I think that's why I'm not sure I'll ever want to stop having kids ... my budget might though.

  5. Aside from the sippy cups, my 9 year old Kiddo pretty much has the same stuff, so you have a little while yet to enjoy them! :) Thanks for linking this post to my party!

  6. I can so relate to this and it is much better to the sentimental route, isn't it? :)

    Definitely things to smile about!
