Don't burst my bubble!

Little Guy #1 LOVES bubbles. One of the few nice things about my baby getting older is that he now understands how to actually make them. Last summer was a sad combination of eaten bubbles and spilled jars of bubbles.

This summer (well, it's practically summer), I got all creative and stuff and started making my own solution. The recipe is loosely as follows:

6 cups distilled water
1/2 cup dish soap
1 1/2 tbsp. glycerin (you can find it in the lotion aisle at Walgreens)

Mix it together and have fun! This recipe makes a ton, so either cut it down or pour it in several different containers. Nothing kills the mood like a kicked over jar of bubbles.

And if you want to get really wild and crazy, you could even add food coloring. It might be a good idea for me, since it looks like we get all the orange bubble wands.

  5. Thanks for the bubble recipe! I found an empty bottle of bubble solution on my dryer that was full earlier in the day and so I looked in the washer.....yes it was in the thingy where you put fabric softner. Easy to get out thankfully. My 5 1/2 year old never ceases to surprise me :).
